HYUNDAI OPENS NEW TEST TOWER

On April 15; Hyundai Group officials dedicated a new testing facility in Icheon, South

Korea. The complex includes the Hyundai Asan Tower and the Chung Mong-hun R&D Center.

The 205-meter-tall test tower is equipped with three elevator cars with speeds of up

to 600 mpm. Det Norske Veritas certified the AC gearless traction machines on April 3.

In September, Hyundai Elevator plans to add two more elevator cars rated at speeds

of 1,080 mpm.
